Event Host: Marco Sparmberg
Marco Sparmberg is a transmedia evangelist and award-winning emerging media producer based out of Singapore. Holding a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Production from Hong Kong Baptist University, he also is guest lecturer on university level as well as public speaker for new media storytelling. He worked as lead project developer for renowned production houses like Salon Films with focus on international co-production and Pan-Asian film finance. In 2012 he co-founded Haexagon Concepts, Asia’s first transmedia storytelling and project development workshop dedicated to create and implement new forms of digital, immersive and interactive story formats into the South-East Asian entertainment market. As one of the Transmedia Alliance co-founders he provides the Asia link to this international non-profit collaborative of transmedia professionals and practitioners. He also founded the HK Webfest, Hong Kong’s first festival dedicated to branded entertainment, webseries and transmedia projects for which he serves as festival director.
